Iris Technologies believes that an ethical approach to forensic and investigative engineering begins with rigorously qualified personnel. Scientific and technical forensics is not intended to be an on-the-job training opportunity; rather, it is a unique field that should be delivered by individuals that possess specialized education and experiences that have been gained through a focused independent career. We feel it is vital that our team members offer opinions for only those areas in which they are extensively qualified, and that opportunities to unduly “stretch” their credentials be avoided. The Iris Technologies’ approach to investigative engineering begins with a clearly defined “question” or scope of work, proceeds with a strategically-developed investigation and/or a thorough review of available documentation, and culminates with a carefully-crafted unbiased opinion based on factual data. To ensure that our opinions can withstand all pertinent challenges, Iris Technologies does not strive to obtain all available forensic projects; instead, we ask to be considered for those projects for which we are the best qualified.
